460 Review:

Tranz 460 is one of the first All In One terminals that comes
with an internal printer, as well as the ability to process

it's first manufacture, the tranz 460 has had many competitors
with faster speeds and better printing abilities. Another issue
with the terminal is it's slower processing speed.
Looking
at it, it's very similar to it's predecessor the Tranz 330.
Unlike recent built printers, this terminal comes with a
friction printer. This only allowed it to use double sheet
paper, with the carbon having to be typed through. This makes it
noisy and using up more paper.
This
is definitely not one of the best printers to own today.
For
a better option than the Tranz 460, buy a Verifone
Omni 3730LE or better yet, a Hypercom T7P Plus. The Plus has
metal rollers on the paper spool that make it last longer than
other credit card machines on the market. The
normal life for a credit card machine is now closer to 9 years
by the way.
